Have you ever had one of those days when things just don’t want to go right?

That is how my day is. I’m trying to put some new items on my Etsy and for

some reason I can’t get connected. Now I am trying to post this and not having any better luck. It must be that my server is down for some reason. I am not a computer whiz so I have no idea what the problem is or now to solve it. I am writing this in my work pad and will paste it in here when I can. I have cable and thought it was better than dial up but sometimes I wonder. It is faster when it works.

Ya’ll know how I love to garage sale. Well yesterday I found a cute little wooden box that I am going to put something polymer on the top and give it as a gift. I don’t know who will get it yet but that is the plan. I was given some OLD pictures from a friend who was going through a box that her mother had. I can’t use most of them but there are a couple that I am thinking of using for transfers. Maybe that will be what I put on the box top. I have a lot on my “to do” list. I don’t know if I will ever get to all of it. I doubt it.

Welll I finally managed to get my items listed on Etsy. Please check them out.   http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5125957

I hope ya’ll have a great week-end. I will see you Monday..

Addition to yesterday

was telling you about how Heather from Polymer Clay craft gossip had seen one of my buttons and added it to her favorites. I checked on her site, Craft Gossip

 http://craftgossip.com/

this morning just before I had to go to town and MY BUTTON (the third one) is pictured on her site. That really makes me feel good. Thanks again Heather.

She also has an article on polmer clay clasp that is real good. I like the big green one but they all are good and it would depend on what you are using it for. She has a great site so if you get a chance go take a look.  Plan on staying for a while there is a lot to look at, and lots to check out.

well I am off to do some more looking around.  I haven’t finished on Heathers site yet.  So much to do so little time.

I’m honored

Happy Thursday everyone.

Yesterday was my birthday,  so I didn’t spend much time on here.  Had a great b’day.  Went to my daughters for supper and had a nice time. When you get my age b’days don’t have to be celebrated with big parties.  It’s just great to be another year older.
Today I went to my email and there was a letter from flickr telling me some picked one of my items as a favorite. So of course I had to check it out. It was Humblebeads. She has a great blog http://www.humblebeads.blogspot.com

Let me say a few things about Humblebeads. On her blog she has Ornament Thursday, where she has the prettiest pair of earrings with the instructions on how to make them. She tells your where you can get the supplies and a little bit about Ornament Thursday and of course more links to check out. There are so many places to check out that I got lost for a while and still haven’t seen everything I want. Heather is a multi talented lady, not only does she do some incredible bead work but does illustrations for children’s books.  She has been seen on TV, in magazines and is very action in the art world.

So you can imagine how thrilled I am about one of my items being put on her favorites list. That just made my day. Thank you Heather.

An invitation,new recycle site,and a cool group

Today when I opened my email I found an email from xfarmxgirlx stating she is the admin. of a group called Pet Memorial. She had seen my memorial to my dog Coco and wants to add it to her group pix. Of course I said yes. It is a small group right now but I think if more people knew about it it could get to be quite large. Those of you who have memorials to your beloved pets might want to check it out here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/743517@N20

While I was there I looked around at some of the comments that have been made to the different photostreams I like to visit and I saw

GSOLFOT in a couple places as a signature line. So being the curious person that I am I looked it up. It turns out that it a group of miniaturists. And the letters stand for Green Sock on Left Foot on Tuesdays
It is a pretty interesting site with tuturials, auctions, galleries and a newsletter. I spent a lot of time looking around.,and bookmarked some of the tuturials that I want to try for myself. So if you like minis you just might want to check this one out.
I love to recycle things and found a new site. So if any of you are in to recycling here is a site that might be of interest to you.
I hope ya”ll have a great day.

My week has been busy

There are a few things going on here at my house. I mentioned before about changing my work table around. I actually changed my whole room around. I have been doing some knitting. Something I haven’t done in a while. So I moved those things out of storage so I can get to them easier. I have been making knitted collars and cup cosies. They all have one of my hand made polymer buttons on them. I am going to give them away for Christmas/B’day presents. This has been fun because I am joining two of my favorite mediums.

Also I am going to start doing a little more sewing so I moved the sewing machine to a better place. Had to bring in a table from another room but it is working out great. Now my sewing machine is set and ready to use any time.

All this changing things around brought me to start doing some spring cleaning. I have been thinking about it for a while but just haven’t felt up to it. But I did get started on my closet. Maybe by the time it is time to do fall cleaning I will have my spring cleaning done. giggle…

One of my favorite groups (PCAWW) is having a challenge. It is just to challenge ourselves. No prizes or anything like that, but it has had me thinking for a while now. We are to make one of each, animal, mineral and vegetable. I have change my mine a few times but today I went surfing to get some ideas. Boy did I get some ideas. And ran across a few new sites. Well new to me anyway. I am going to add a post about one of them tomorrow.

And I now know what I am going to try to make for the mineral and animal. I just don’t know about the vegetable. But I’m sure I will think of something good.

I changed my work room

Wow I have had a busy day.  First my husband and I went garage saleing.  That is something we really like to do and sometimes we find so really good bargains.  Today I did. I found the neatest kit for $1.00.  It is plastic and you put it together like a model car only these are reptiles, a large frog, turtle, snake etc. It has details on how to paint them.  The big frog even has his insides.  I guess it is like a science kit for kids. I have I pic of the box in my Flickr.  I thought I could use them for texture and also for a model for when I am sculpting.

I also got an unopened pkg. of T-shirt transfer papers for $5.00.  The regular price is still on it at $15.95.  I think I made some pretty good deals.

When I got home I decided since I wasn’t really working on anything at the time it would be a good time to change my work room around.  It took me all day but I really think I am going to like it.  I have pic of both before and after in my flickr also.

Oh and while I think of it I bought these two little knife like things that are old.  I am not sure what they are used for.  If anyone knows I sure would appreciate it if you would let me know.  They are also pictured in my Flickr. Which is probably going to show on this home page since they are the last pic I uploaded.

Well this old gal is really tired so am going to head for bed.  Talk to you again soon.  Thanks for reading and

Happy Clay-zie Day, CraftyLinda

My Fairy name and other things.

I went to www.crafttestdummies.com this morning and she had a post on there about getting your fairy name.  So I had to go.  My name is Bramble Icedancer.

She is a bone chilling bringer of justice for the vulnerable.
She lives in leafy dells and bluebell glades.
She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup.
She wears bluebell-blue dresses. She has icy blue butterfly wings.

To find yours go here:  http://www.emmadavies.net/fairy/default.aspx

Jenny has alot of other good things on your site.  She has been busy making pendants the latest one is really cool.

Another member on City of City wrote about a site where you can get your doodles and such made into stamp sheets for use with polymer clay or paper.  http://www.polyclay.com/ready.htm  This is where to go to find out all the info.  And to quote my friend. ( “LunytunerMichele’)
“A really great thing is that it’s a community based business … “United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of San Diego promoting the independence of disabled persons through training and employment”. It’s a bit pricey at $32 (plus $5 for S&H) but you get a 9’x7″ sheet of your own rubber stamp art work plus your are doing your little bit to help others too.”  So if this is something you have been thinking about check them out.

Can you believe this?

I have some extra time today and wanted to share some sites that I visited.  The first one is all FREE business related sites.  It is a website that is just getting started and everything is 100% FREE.  I don’t know if you are in business or maybe just trying to start a new one but there is a lot of good info. there.Check it out if you get time.

The second one is from polymer clay fan newsletter by Gerald Gore and has some pics of his centaur sculpture that he has been working on.  This shows great talent.  I was awestruck when I seen it.  And a little green with envy.LOL

you can see his newsletter here

and his blog here.  http://geraldgore.blogspot.com/

I hope you can use both of them.  I am still new to this so don’t know if I did that right.

I just checked this out and you will have to copy and paste the one for the newsletter.  The other two are okay.

If anyone out there has any ideas on how I can better this site please feel feel to leave a comment.  I except all input. But pls. keep it helpful.

Well thanks for reading and I hopefully will see you soon.

Mother’s day wish

Well, here I am again not doing what I had wanted to do and post more often.  I just can’t seem to find the time.  And when I have the time I get writers block and don’t know what to say.  When I am away from here I can think of all kinds of things I want to say and then I sit down to write and my mind goes blank.

One thing I do want to say is HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.  It is cool and rainy here in Mi.  but has been a good day so far.  We have nothing planned but have heard from three of my kids.  One I wasn’t expecting to see at all came over.  That was great.  I always like surprises.  My other kids and grand kids or not close enough to visit so a phone call will have to do but that is good too.  Like all Mothers I enjoy hearing from them.

I haven’t spend much time on the computer this week is don’t have any sites to talk about.  Hopefully I will do better next week and have a few to make up for this week.

Until then I wish everyone reading a great and blessed day.
